Guang Ming Daily reported that Hong Kong actress Charmaine Sheh See-Man is the most expensive “dinner guest”. It is a common scenario in the special administrative region’s entertainment industry for female artistes to attend dinner parties hosted by rich men for a price. Sheh was also Miss Hong Kong second runner-up in 1997. Rich men from China have offered the TVB star HK$1.5mil (RM650,610) to attend a dinner party.

Charmaine Sheh had just returned from Hawaii just after her series “You’re Hired” with Dayo Wong ended last night. After returning, Charmaine immediately went to the dinner celebration and to watch the finale with the cast. The cast who attended includes Queenie Chu, Producer Nelson Cheung, Ha Ping, etc. Charmaine expressed that she only wants everyone to be happy, spending a small sum of money is not a problem. She hopes that the series could reach 40 points in ratings.

Many Hong Kong Movie award winners have said when they become actors they become passionate. When their acting reaches an established level they recieve recognition. But when the market is bad, they can only wait for luck. Charmaine Sheh is a Miss Hong Kong 2nd Runner up and also an actress. In TVB’s 2006 Anniversary Award Ceremony she was awarded a double and recieved the TV Queen title. Reaching the top of her career, she was still shooting TV series one after the other. The results are not disappointing either. When someone gets famous they also become a topic of discussion whether its about rumors, personality and not getting along with others.

The first “Hong Kong Exhibition Trend” was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center yesterday. Charmaine Sheh and Skye Chan were guest of honor for the ribbon cutting opening ceremony.

Charmaine disclosed that since she entered the entertainment industry, she had never been to such a grand exhibition. This is because she is worried that people may recognize her. Reporter asked if she has sacrificed her personal freedom now? Charmaine said she has little time to spend with her family and definitely no time for dating too. She understands that there should be balance between the two, if she meets her Mr. Right whom she loves, she will get married very quickly. Charmaine revealed that she won’t retire from the entertainment industry, but she may reduce her work load.
