Last night “TVB Anniversary Awards 2009″ was held in Tseung Kwan O’s TVB City. TV King & Queen both went to the hot favorites Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang from “Rosy Business”. “Rosy Business” overshadowed “Beyond” as they were the big winners of the night sweeping away 6 award categories.

Chris Lai was rumoured dating with Tavia Yeung. He laughed and explained that all the pictures were actually taken when they were filming series last time. He is close with Tavia Yeung and the family in the series and he always go out for meals with Linda Chung, Fala Chen, Claire Yiu and other female friends. He said, “I will not avoid her. This is not something that I should hide. (How is your relationship with her?) I will place my career at the first place.” Tavia Yeung’s sister Griselda Yeung came back to work after her postnatal. When asked whether she has confidence on her sister to win Best Actress award, she laughed and said that Sheren Tang and Charmaine Sheh did pretty well too.

Guang Ming Daily reported that Hong Kong actress Charmaine Sheh See-Man is the most expensive “dinner guest”. It is a common scenario in the special administrative region’s entertainment industry for female artistes to attend dinner parties hosted by rich men for a price. Sheh was also Miss Hong Kong second runner-up in 1997. Rich men from China have offered the TVB star HK$1.5mil (RM650,610) to attend a dinner party.

Earlier this month, TVB organized a drama sales presentation, introducing the upcoming year’s drama productions. While the popular and critically successful Forensic Heroes series was announced to be filming a third season, original main cast Bobby Au-yeung, Frankie Lam, Yoyo Mung, etc. are nowhere to be seen. Instead, Kevin Cheng gives a solo appearance, causing netizens to come together to criticize the upcoming production, also remarking, “If there’s no Bobby they shouldn’t film it!”

Following the hugh success of “Rosy Business”, Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang are working on the sequel by most of the original cast called “Women’s fierce and ambitious” (tentative name). The series will start filming next March. the background of the series will be the same era as “Rosy Business”. Wayne and Sheren were at the TVB city filming promotion trailer for the new series. Wayne was wearing the costume looked like Chai Gau.

Charmaine Sheh had just returned from Hawaii just after her series “You’re Hired” with Dayo Wong ended last night. After returning, Charmaine immediately went to the dinner celebration and to watch the finale with the cast. The cast who attended includes Queenie Chu, Producer Nelson Cheung, Ha Ping, etc. Charmaine expressed that she only wants everyone to be happy, spending a small sum of money is not a problem. She hopes that the series could reach 40 points in ratings.

Many Hong Kong Movie award winners have said when they become actors they become passionate. When their acting reaches an established level they recieve recognition. But when the market is bad, they can only wait for luck. Charmaine Sheh is a Miss Hong Kong 2nd Runner up and also an actress. In TVB’s 2006 Anniversary Award Ceremony she was awarded a double and recieved the TV Queen title. Reaching the top of her career, she was still shooting TV series one after the other. The results are not disappointing either. When someone gets famous they also become a topic of discussion whether its about rumors, personality and not getting along with others.
